Digital Explorer's Field Trip Recap

The turnout was excellent today!  Despite an unexpected freeway closure on the 5, everybody made it on time to The Little Flower for breakfast of coffee, quiche, scones and what not.  A nice little find thanks to Lars T. Lindroth.  I hope I have captured all that attended (14 of us):  Dick, Richard, Viv, Sarah, Pat, Alex, David, Ashley, Jon, John, Patrick, Lars and his lovely friend Helena.

Our first stop was to the Colorado Street Bridge where we found parking below and walked about to get some shots of the towering bridge.  We were able to get out to the little trails and got some shots of runners and cyclists that seemed to flock to this area today.   We then headed over to the Rose Bowl where it turns out they had a Food Fair of some kind, and weren't about to let us in.  But, I got a card of a tour director (yes, they have tours) so I'll check that out for the future.

Lastly we headed over to the Pasadena City Hall; what a beautiful place.  The sun was still low enough to get shots behind the behemoth bell tower.  Jon was regaling the as yet unmarried groom with marriage jokes.  To his credit, the groom was undeterred.

All in all, a good trip.   Looking forward to seeing your take from the day!

I have put up my shots in the drop box, and also the Digital Explorer's website:  http://www.digitalexplorersoc.com/vin
